Griffin Bowls Club
If you are a new member or a new bowler who has never played before, it can all be a bit daunting. We at The Griffin aim to help you settle in and enjoy your bowls. In order to accomplish this we allocate to you a playing member, affectionately called a Buddy. The job of this person is to help you with any questions or queries you may have. They show you the noticeboards and books in the club house and will help you to put your name down for matches. They will be in constant contact with you throughout. They will also inform you of times and days for roll ups and coaching sessions. These are usually at club nights on a Wednesday evening where you can practice on the green with the aid of other members and coaches on hand.
All new members have a 30% reduction in fees for their 1st year.
Your fees are reduced pro-rata if you join later in the year.
Full membership - £105 per year
Associate Bowling Membership - £50 per year (Short Mat bowling from
October to March)
Associate Non-Bowling Membership - £5 per year (Free if spouse/partner is a
full playing member.)
STUDENTS & YOUNG PEOPLE
If you are a student over 18 with a valid student ID card then the membership is £50.00 per year. This will remain as long as you are a student.
Ages 9 - 18 membership is £5.00 per year
We have been members of The Griffin Bowls Club for two years having been introduced at a Club Open Day. The Club was most welcoming and we were soon having one to one coaching with their qualified coaches. We were encouraged by existing members to join in their games and soon realised what a friendly progressive club it was.
